Run Forest Ridge Run 5 & 10k

Lace up your trail shoes and come run at Forest Ridge Park. This inaugural event will feature both a 5k and a 10k trail run. Both events will take place on a mix of trail surfaces and types including a very fast gravel road and more technical single track trails. Both races will take you our the park’s Peninsula Trail before using the newer Shoreline Trail, which opens to beautiful views of Falls Lake throughout the entire race.

There are still plenty of spots remaining for runners. Registration deadline has been extended and race-day registration will be available.

John checked out the trails on Friday and is happy to report they are in excellent condition! Park crews have blown leaves from the single-track portions, the ground is soft but very runnable, and best of all the weather forecast looks good for race day. Packet pickup will be at one of the pavilions near the playground and restrooms. We ask that you arrive just after 7:00 am at the earliest to collect your race bib. Any last minute registrations will also take place at the pavilion. Race Day entry will cost $45 for the 10k and $35 for the 5k. (Venmo, Paypal, & Cashapp are most welcome, but cash and credit will work too.)

All racers will receive a special finishers medal for this inaugural event. And there will be recognition (and a unique medal) for the 1st and 2nd place runners male and female for each distance. And there’s a high probability of some additional race swag when you pick up your race packet.
